Modern Slavery Policy

Our goal is to work with suppliers to build awareness, improve transparency, and drive positive change across the supply chain. This policy aligns with our broader commitment to human rights, sustainability, and responsible sourcing.

Whakatiki Engineering maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, including forced labour, human trafficking, debt bondage, and any form of coercion or exploitation. We are committed to conducting our business ethically and transparently, and we expect the same standards from our suppliers and partners.

We do not engage in modern slavery in any part of our operations. Furthermore, we are committed to ensuring that modern slavery is not present in any part of our supply chain, including both local and international suppliers. To uphold this commitment, we:

- Conduct risk assessments of our supply chain to identify and monitor areas with potential exposure to modern slavery;

- Require suppliers to comply with our ethical sourcing expectations and provide declarations confirming that their practices are free from modern slavery;

- Include modern slavery clauses in supplier contracts to enforce these standards;

- Provide training to relevant staff to help them recognise and address risks of modern slavery in procurement and supplier management;

- Monitor and review supplier relationships to ensure ongoing compliance.
